Tuesday, September 14

LSW will be lighting the Hoan Bridge in honor of National Literacy Month! We hope you can join us to celebrate literacy and our beautiful city, and to enjoy the company of our LSW community!

Boat Tour

In appreciation of our dedicated supporters and community partners, we wanted to give you the special opportunity to join us aboard Milwaukee Boat Line’s Vista King to enjoy a river view of the Hoan Bridge lit up for literacy.

We'll be on the water from 6:30 - 8:30 pm. Boarding begins at 6 pm at the dock of Milwaukee Boat Line, 1124 N Old World 3rd St.

*COVID-19 is still a very real and present threat to the health and safety of our community. You can find the specific COVID-19 policies for the tour on the registration page.

Plaza Party

Erie Street Plaza

If you are unable to join us on the boat, you can also enjoy a view of the Hoan and a chance to socialize with LSW staff, volunteers, and students from 6:00-8:00 pm at Erie Street Plaza. Partake in the festivities with a food truck and local vendors while you watch the Hoan light up at dusk. We will celebrate together at this outdoor event, but please observe social distancing guidelines.
