Adult Secondary Education (ASE)

Our GED© & HSED programs provide pathways for students seeking secondary education credentials, like a GED© or a high school equivalency diploma.

We offer a variety of learning methods to meet each student's unique educational goals. Class formats vary among sites, but may include:

  • One-on-One Tutoring: One or more 90-minute session(s) per week, scheduled according to student needs and tutor availability
  • Small Group or Classroom with an instructor
  • Learning Labs: Guided independent study*
  • Drop-In Tutoring*

NEW! We now offer Virtual/Online Instruction to support students at all locations during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond.

Due to the Coronavirus outbreak, all in-person services and drop-in tutoring are temporarily unavailable.

* Scheduling and availability vary by location

GED© Prep

Instruction is tailored to help students reach advanced levels in language arts, social studies, math, science, and civics – one or more subjects at a time – as they work to pass each GED© test.

NEW! Online 5.09 HSED

Students attend scheduled online classes to develop secondary-level skills. Through contextualized instruction and individual and group projects, students create a portfolio of work to demonstrate required competencies. Program completers earn a high school-equivalent diploma. This program is available only to students enrolled in an ASE program; referral required. Click here for more information.

The General Education Development (GED©) and 5.09 High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED) are each issued by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction upon successful completion of either standardized testing or equivalent HSED programming.

College/Accuplacer Prep

Instruction designed to help students prepare for college entrances exams and aid them in enrolling in post-secondary education. Additionally, students have access to career pathway advisors.

Training Ready Program

In partnership with WRTP/BIG STEP, this program helps students gain entrance into training programs for the manufacturing and construction trades by helping them build requisite reading and math skills. Referrals from WRTP/BIG STEP are accepted but not required.

To enroll in any of our programs, schedule an appointment online or call (414) 344-5878.
